Information and Ideas for Projects

CJ Kemp, Eagle Scout delivers New Born kit to a new mother.

In the past FFHE has benefited from many hours of service through Boy Scouts of America Eagle projects.  From new born kits to hygine kits, to warm blankets and school supplies, many hours have been spent collecting and organizing materials for the people in Mexico by our scouts in America.

School kit delivery in October 2011

photo-2.jpgFor his Eagle Project Matthew Stevens collected school supplies, hygiene kits and children’s books in Spanish to be delivered to families in Mexico.

He enlisted the help from his church youth group and friends to complete the project.  Matthew also gathered enough cash donations to ship the supplies to Utah. He collected supplies for 167 school kits, which included pencils, paper, rulers and such to be used in a school that had no supplies for the children.  The 162 dental kits he prepared were given out during health education classes. He also donated a box of Children's books in Spanish, which will become part of a library, the first of it’s kind in this mountainous location. The items were delivered to Mexico during the October 2011 and March 2012 trips. The people of this Mexico region were thrilled to receive such thoughtful gifts.
